Fireworks and Parades in Troy This Fourth

Tri-City ValleyCats Independence Day Weekend

The Tri-City ValleyCats are hosting their 24th consecutive season of July 4th fireworks in Troy at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium, with postgame fireworks on both July 3rd and July 4th. 

On the Fourth, the ‘Cats face the Brockton Rox in what’s officially an Independence Day Celebration presented by Highmark BSNENY. Gates open at 5:30 PM, first pitch is at 6:30 PM, and fireworks follow the game. It’s the best combination of summer baseball and fireworks in the Capital Region, and it’s been a Troy tradition for over two decades.

New York State’s Fourth of July Celebration

The New York State Fourth of July Celebration is presented by Market 32 and Price Chopper. The 2026 edition marks the event’s own 50th anniversary, running since 1976, and this year’s headliner is multi-platinum rock band Sugar Ray. 

It’s on Saturday, July 4, 2026 from 5 PM to 10 PM at the Empire State Plaza. The evening includes live music, a new Revolutionary War exhibit, American Revolution reenactors, a costume contest, and a fireworks finale by Santore’s World Famous Fireworks. The event is free.

4th of July Celebration in Waterford

Waterford rings in the Fourth of July at the Hurst Harbor Visitor Center, 1 Tugboat Alley, with an evening celebration running from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Johnny Rabb’s Big Band takes the stage from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, setting the tone before the night wraps up with a fireworks display at dark. It’s a waterfront way to spend Independence Day in one of the Hudson Valley’s most historic canal towns.
